Todd Sandrin researches the intersections of microbiology and chemistry.
As a broadly trained microbiologist with expertise applying state-of-the-art approaches, he is interested in ways to enhance beneficial aspects of microorganisms and develop approaches to mitigate negative effects of microorganisms. Tools his group commonly employs fall within the realm of proteomics and functional genomics. Sandrin serves as Professor and Dean in ASU New College and as Vice Provost at ASU's West Campus where he teaches courses including "The Microbial Universe," "Cell Biology Laboratory," "Individualized Instruction," and "ASU 101: The ASU Experience."
