Nicholas Stephanopoulos's lab studies how to manipulate proteins and peptides into hybrids that can be programmed using nanotechnology. Through synthetic developments and safe integration of biomolecules, the lab hopes to improve molecular biomes. He applies his work further into medicine, biology, energy, and fundamental nanoscience. By integrating nanosystems in these mediums.
Stephanopoulos is an associate professor for the School of Molecular Sciences, as well as for the Biodesign Center for Molecular Design & Biomimetics. He has received awards such as Air Force Young Investigator, NSF Career, and NIH New Innovator Awards.
