Sarah Cohen is an expert in data journalism, media and news reporting.
She is a professor and Knight chair of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Professor Cohen specializes in the use and analysis of public records and its databases for investigative and long-term reporting projects.
Prior to her time at ASU, Cohen spent most of her career as a reporter and editor at The New York Times and The Washington Post, where her work was awarded for major investigative journalism awards, including the Pulitzer Prize in Investigative Reporting, the Goldsmith Award, the Selden Ring award and Investigative Reporters and Editors' gold medal.
