Brian Gerber is an expert in environmental and resource management, and local community influence.

Gerber's research primarily focuses on disaster policy and management, homeland security policy and administration, and environmental regulatory policy.

He's associate professor at the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions and the co-director for the Center for Emergency Management and Homeland Security.

He gained his expertise through his extensive experience performing policy analysis and program evaluation work for state and local government agencies in addition to national nonprofits engaged in disaster relief and recovery work.
