Carola Grebitus researches factors that affect consumers' food choices, such as nutrition information labels, country or state of origin and whether a product is organic.
She has worked extensively on determinants of consumer behavior, purchase decision making, and food quality from consumers’ perspective. As an associate professor of food industry managment in the Morrison School of Agribusiness in the W. P. Carey School of Business, Grebitus used surveys, eye-tracking and taste tests in her studies. Part of her research also investigates the role of social networks on healthy food choices and adoption of genomics.
